Yeah...thus the reason why I rarely go to the theatres here and just wait until the rental is available! HP was the third time I saw a movie here (The other two being the first and second Naruto movies) ^_^;

Sheesh though. That's still just nuts. Of course, I suppose it's still about proportional with DVD prices between there and here (movie ticket ~= DVD/2)

Yeah, tell me about it. Although my pay is nice for the amount of work I do here, in the end, it really isn't that much considering the overall living/traveling expenses in Japan. It's an outrage compared to other Asian countries! Ah, the price of being a global power...

Well, like I stated before, the leaving out of characters is *not* what bothered me the most. In fact, it wasn't until after the movie finished that I realized Ludo Bagman wasn't even in it! But there some things that I felt were either changed too much or changed and left unanswered. My case in point: Harry Potter found Barty Crouch already dead in the forest. Did they ever come back and state who killed him in the movie? Of course, if you've read the book, you know it was Barty Jr/Moody, but I seriously don't recall Moody saying that he killed him! Or maybe I just didn't catch it... Either way, I just didn't feel they treated the whole Crouch Family with enough importance. *shrug*

But again, the transitions/pacing of the movie, especially in the first half, were the main detractors in this film.

Oh, and also let me remind you that the 4th book is my favorite HP book, so it would've had to been immaculate in order to get a 5/5. Is my review unfair? No, because I make some valid points about the movie's flaws! Is it biased? Hells yes, but that's just tough shit, Henry-kun. ^.~
