Hello, dear Flist! I exist! I've been even more quiet than usual on the LJ front for a couple reasons.

The first is the same one that's been going on all year-I'm not actively fannish about much these days. Supernatural hiatus draws to a close, and I just haven't been reading fic or engaging with fandom in a long time. I did find myself overcome

I haven't had a chance to get anything swapable selected and photographed, so no progress on the swap mama front, but I'm hoping to enlist my niece's help with that while she's here.

Doing well, getting bigger. Kid is kicking up a storm - which is equal parts amazing and creepy. It's amazing to think he could be here as early as 10 weeks from now (I'm at 29 weeks this Sunday, so anything between 38 and 40 weeks for me seems like a free-for-all for possible labor) - yikes! We have some serious organizing to get done. Best of luck on posting pics when you're niece gets to town - it's much easier to do than it seems. I'll be in touch to keep checking on you!!

Wow, ten weeks left. That's madness! :-) I'm at the stage you described earlier, where I can tell I'm pregnant, but to acquaintances and passers-by, I just look 10 pounds heavier. When I suck in my stomach now, it looks like it did three months ago, minus the sucking in. Am eager to move past this stage.

Good luck with your organization! I must admit, I am terrified of that task. My husband, bless his soul, has little to no concern or motivation about the question of where the hell everything is going to go.

Aww, Cynthia! I'm so happy for you both! Big congrats. :) I remember well all the tension of the first trimester, so I'm glad you've had so much affirmation with all the testing (and passing the various milestones). Enjoy your pregnancy!

Thanks so much, my friend. We're both so happy, and just plain old excited about all the changes coming our way.

(Funniest preview moment so far: Marc going completely gray when his 4-week-old niece spit up on him, then visibly pulling himself together so he could safely hand her off before he tore out of the room to clean off his arm and change his shirt.)

LOL at Marc with the spitting up. Oh, Marc. There's more where that came from. So, so much more. In fact, here's a story you can share with him just to heighten his angst. When my oldest was a baby, one time Jon was changing her diaper on the changing table, and she had diarrhea right in the middle of the change, and the diarrhea splattered the wall and a lamp.

Oh, man. That's just gross! I anticipate many LOLable updates about Marc's reactions to various body functions. He just isn't great with that stuff, and has little to no infant experience. I think he did some baby-sitting for toddlers when he was a teenager, but as far as I can tell, he's never changed a diaper.

Yeah. This is going to be amusing.
