it's so cool you can feel him. i never really felt tk moving and then poof! he was born. so i'm really happy for you! what does it feel like? i can't even imagine.
good luck on your presentation, c.
i love you more than words can say. but my interpretive dance conveys my affection for you pretty well.
Hi! Thank you! I'm so happy to have gotten to the obvious baby bump stage.
Will let you know about the registry. I'm starting to wrestle with it now.
When I first started feeling him, it felt like little air bubbles coming up in my belly--it reminded me of being at the pool as a kid, when someone would swim under you and blow bubbles up at you. Like that, but inside, and tiny. That was hard to tell apart from the general gas and movement that goes along with digestion. Then it became more like little poking nudges that I could feel from the inside. Now it's like a harder poke, and sometimes like a fish flopping around and hitting the sides of me, and it's strong enough that we can feel it from the outside. Early this week I just had my hand on my belly, and there was this quite large poke that actually made it all the way out to my hand. It's so cool, and yet weird because it's like having a fish flopping around in there.
Hey, congrats, you look wonderful. I'm currently taking fertility drugs in hopes of having a second little one. Makes me happy to see other women pregnant and happy about it. :)
Thank you! And very best of luck with your journey. I was very lucky to get pregnant spontaneously, but I took a yoga class for fertility when I was starting to have questions about my ovulation cycle, and you'll be happy to hear that by the end of the summer, three more of the women in that class were pregnant, either naturally or via IVF and other methods. And four of my best girlfriends, who've all had fertility issues of some kinds, have all had healthy babies.
*hugs*
p.s. I'd be happy to share some info about the yoga and acupuncture practice I found and how that helped me, if you're interested. Or to just back away quietly if you're not :-)
That's very kind of you to offer and I would LOVE to have that information. No rush, but send it along when you get a chance. :)
I'm currently taking clomid, which my doctor assured me has very mild self-effects. I don't know how she defines "mild" but I am an absolute wreck for five solid days while taking it. I'd so much rather be doing yoga!
I'll send you an LJ message with some info in it! I've heard from several of my yoga classmates that acupuncture helps immensely with the side effects of clomid and other fertility drugs.
Thank you! I realize that he pretty much looks like most 20 week ultrasounds of babies, but darn it, they're CUTE, and I'm pretty sure I can see my chin and Marc's mouth there, and that makes him particularly cute to me :-)
I can feel him moving! I started feeling things that were probably him around 17 weeks, but they were really hard to differentiate from my lunch. Right around 19-20 weeks it became much more obvious to me that it was him, and this week he's gotten big enough that once in a while we can feel him from the outside, which is a) weird and b) especially exciting for Marc. Yay!
I always thought that was by far the best part of the whole pregnancy thing. You look wonderful. *hugs*
Feeling him move is definitely one of the high points so far! I love that Marc can feel it, too, now. He's so eager to meet his son, and his face just lights up when he feels him move.
Thanks for the compliment! I'm still getting used to the morphing shape of me, but I definitely like the obvious bump.
