So I didn't get in to Emerson. They don't know what they're missing.

Sorry, that came out icky. I'll just say what I was going to say - they absolutely don't know what they're missing. I have 7 friends who go there, and apparently it's overrated like whoa. Musical theatre is looked down upon, and the theatre majors are stuck up. So, they don't know what they're missing, and you deserve better.

rejected. but that word is, to use your own...ahem,words, icky. oh well. like i said before, i'd rather get rejected flat out than deferred and then rejected.

yup, icky word. i was deferred and then rejected and you're right, the waiting is worse. i asked before because if you had been deferred i didn't want to badmouth emerson just yet. but, like i said, it's overrated. the kids who initially got a good impression, like you did, are already disillusioned with the school. the students are full of themselves, the neighborhood is lacking, and the classes are redundant and unnecessary. apparently, all the seven kids like about the school is the fact that there are six other kids there that they can bitch with. so not getting in may actually be a blessing in disguise.
