This morning I received a private message from a posting personality at the Force.net Forums. We had been involved in a revived discussion on the fanfiction section about Kyp Durron, the Boy who Survived Kessel. Sadly before I could reply to him he was banned.

Wow, why did they get banned? I think very often tf.net can be way too PC about everything, I mean, they clamped down a warning on my friend for daring to discuss gay-mando relationships! Claiming that it wasn't 'family friendly' - well OBJECTION, there are gay families out there who would probably have found it a breath of fresh air. Ugh, it winds me up sometimes.
I have to agree with you on the Kyp subject above, btw. The fics where anyone is under-age usually make me cringe in disgust, I was sexually abused as a child and can sympathise deeply with what your friend had to go through - relearning isn't easy at all and it does effect you for the rest of your life :( Only good thing to come out of that is that now I know, no matter how bad things get, I can work through things and be stronger for it.
It certainly doesn't make people sex addicts *eyeroll*

I also notice a lot of favoritism over in the fan fic and lit forums in particular, I'm not singling anyone out, but it IS around. Sad really, :(

No idea why. Even though this was a private mail, it seemed important to me to try to answer somehow or other. I never saw the guy do any objectionable posts myself.

As to the fanfiction there, hey! they routinely censor my pg fics! their loss. I have links to Quinlan Vos in my sig there which are not a problem though, as there are disclaimer pages and labels where it lands.
