We saw the flood pictures on the news earlier today. Was there a bad flood in Iowa in the 1980s/1990s?

It hasn't rained here in ages. Please, please send some rain this way!!

thanks, Sparkle! we had a flood around here in 1993, but I think it wasn't as bad as this year's or 1952's. We've had over 3 inches of rain in last couple days--only adding to flood worries. I truly wish I could send some in your direction.
