     Thursday we had a severe late-summer storm--straight-line winds 75+ mph, golf-ball size hail for about 15 minutes, heavy rain.      Woke this morning to the sound of thunder.  Had a nice little shower that just ended.  How bout some more of that rain?

     Now at the tail-end--the last day--of the heatwave mentioned in previous entry.  10 days more-or-less of mid to upper 90s with wet-blanket humidities throughout.  Heat indices have ranged from 105-120 for the duration. Will drop into low 90s for awhile after 100 degrees today.  Been doing a little outside work in the earlier-morning, usually ( Read more... )

     Exams taken; exams corrected--they didn't do as well as I'd hoped!  In-class essays tomorrow; project presentations on Friday. Grades due next Tuesday.  Then all finished.  Will have a busy-rest-of-the-summer though.  Sokay with me.
