i have a lot of anxiety/panic problems too, as well as depression. depression makes it hard to be motivated to get out of bed, let alone clean! and i totally understand not wanting people to ride in your car or come over. a friend of mine helped me clean my car top to bottom...including upholstery/everything. i have managed to keep it clean for about six months now! i'm trying to at least keep things from getting worse at my house, and i've been able to do that. slowly it is getting better.
i don't really have any answers. i'm still living amongst a lot of boxes and magazines and other random crap. but it helps to at least know there are other people like me out there, and hopefully that helps you too. welcome!
Welcome!I have depressin and panic disorder. My 'stuff' makes me feel secure, and embarrassed all at once.
I was raised to never get rid of anything that might be useful. My mom is 10 times worse than I am, but she's working on it too. My mom is a Depression baby. You should see the hoards of chaos her parents had. you know the skirt on a mobile home that hides the wheels, etc? They would remove it so they could put things under there.
It does happen. I've managed to get rid of lots of stuff in the past few weeks.
