How much do you tip for a massage? I got a gift certificate for a 50 minute massage that I am using tonight. On the gift certificate it says gratuity not included, so obviously I am supposed to tip. I just have no idea how much.

WHEN TO TIP: At the end of service.

So pretty much the same as you would tip a waiter or waitress at a restaurant.

Just a little tip, you probably won't give the tip to the massuese personally. At the end of a massage, the person usually leaves you alone in the room to relax. So, when you go up to the cash register to give them your gift certificate, they can tell you how much the massages run and you will probably give it to them. Sometimes they provide little envelopes for you to write the person's name on, depending on the place.

Thanks for the tip. I prefer it that way, I always feel ackward giving the tip directly to the person. Something I should work on I guess.
