#01A.N. :
Hello, it’s been a so long (almost a year already, I guess?)~ I truly apologize for making everyone wait for so long for the second chapter. Many things have happened and I, luckily, managed to survive. And since I have some time, I’d continue to write more fanfics and (try to) finish all my previous multi-chaptered ones. I realize that my writing has become rusty now, but I’ll try to improve. So, comments are very much loved ^^ By the way, this is un-betaed, my apologies.
A sweet disorder in the dress
Kindles in clothes a wantonness:

Jin was frustrated.
Never in his mind would he be frustrated at himself for thinking about others too much-including (and above all), Kazuya. He was supposed to loathe him, to disgrace him and all, but all his wicked thoughts transformed into sympathy and care. He insulted himself for feeling such things toward the boy, but the feeling kept crawling back in his heart, haunting him with the images of a weeping, broken Kazuya.
How on earth did he get those nasty bruises?
******
In the damp, silent room, both could only hear the sound of one’s cries, the sound of water drops, and their own light breaths.
It was long, yet brief. It felt painful to see the other like this, yet the feeling of embracing him was priceless. The feeling was calming, yet strangely suffocating him.
Kazuya was still sobbing, while Jin was still holding him tight, caressing his head with all the gentleness he could give.
It felt perfect, until Jin felt Kazuya lifted his head from his chest softly.
“I’m feeling better now, you can put your arms away.”
Jin did as he was told, only to place his hands on the boy’s small shoulders, asking, “You sure?”
The reply was a nod. Then he looked down as he put Jin’s hands off of him. And without warnings he turned around, ready to head for the door before Jin grabbed his arm, making him hiss slightly in pain.
“Ah, sorry. I didn’t mean it…I mean, um…” somehow, even the air felt awkward, “…What happened to you?”
Kazuya continued to stare at the tiled floor, clearly avoiding eye-contacts.
Suddenly Jin wondered if he had just touched a wrong topic.
“It’s none of your business.” Heading to the door for good, he finally muttered before leaving, “Thank you for all that. But really, it’s none of your business.”
And Jin had to swallow his pride for it.
*****
Ok. Remembering the incident only pissed him off even more. After all his attempts of comforting him, rejection was all he got? His once swallowed pride risen up to the tip of his head and he was already thinking of ways for his kouhai to learn who he was dealing with.
Because nobody messed with Akanishi Jin would ever end up NOT regretting it.

It was rare for Jin to run out of ideas to pick on others. But even geniuses could stick up with nothing in their heads, Jin told himself. Seemingly he had used all thinkable great plans he had came with on Kazuya for the past week, leaving him only with the lame ones. But hey, it was better than nothing, right?
It was all set. In a few moments, Kazuya would pass this alley while reading his book like he always did, and proceeded to walked down the slope. His idea would be to make Kazuya slip on something (and by the mention of ‘something’, Jin meant it to be a banana skin) along down the slope and tumbled himself to the water fountain right before the slope, in front of many people.
Yes, it was going to be so entertaining, he could hardly wait.
Praise heaven and all the angels above-Kazuya came just as he had expected.
Yes! And just in matter of minutes, you’d humiliate yourself to no end! That’d be quite a lesson for you!
Jin grinned wickedly from behind the wall, waiting for the moment Kazuya stepped on the trap. But then an image of a sobbing Kazuya days ago flashed before his eyes, followed by a strange, throbbing sensation in his chest. No matter how hard he tried to brush it off, it only grew worse than before, driving him insane.
Dammit! Stop bugging me!!
While he was still struggling with his own mind, a loud, familiar gasp was heard coming from Kazuya. Once he noticed it, his body moved on instinct and ran as fast towards the falling boy. Luckily, he made it on time. Right before the boy wet himself, he jumped and caught the smaller body with all his might, only resulting them both to fall into the fountain with a loud splash.
“Ouucchhh…”
Realizing that he fell on top of something alive, Kazuya lifted his head up at his so-called-savior, “Are you alright? I’m so sor…oh no, it’s YOU again!”
The older one groaned, “Aha, thank you so much for realizing it’s me. Could you please get off of me, like, NOW?”
Wasting no more seconds, Kazuya stood up and stepped out of the fountain, catching a sight of a banana skin in the process. A vein seemed to pop on his head, and then he helped his enemy up before pointing two fingers in front of the other’s face.
“Ok. I have two questions for you.” He said with a cold glare, “First. You’re behind all this, aren’t you?”
“What!?” Jin chuckled nervously, “How could…”
“Oh don’t give me that. Banana skin? Please, it’s classically stupid. Classically YOU.” Jin simply rolled his eyes in defeat, allowing Kazuya to continue his investigation, “And two. Why did you help me? That’d give you no good, so what are you implying?”
“Um, that’s three,” the taller one chirped, “and perhaps four with the banana skin question.”
“Whatever. Just answer me.”
Jin started to panic. “It’s…um, I…uh, what do you call that…I guess it’s because, well…”
Whether it was his luck or not, he was saved by Kazuya who suddenly sneezed loudly. How could he not, they were both soaked wet and the weather was quite chilly.
“Well look at us, boy. We need to dry ourselves and get something to change.” Then he grabbed the shivering boy’s wrist and dragged him along, heading for the lavatory. No matter how hard Kazuya objected, Jin sealed his ears from the endless wailing coming from the boy along the way. As soon as they reached it, he told the boy to stay and wait for him to return.
Kazuya’s mind was battling between either to leave or obey his enemy, because he thought there was no point in doing so, before Jin returned with two towels and two shirts in hand, giving each of both to the boy. Kazuya eyed the materials handed to him for a second, before eyeing Jin with a suspicious look.
“Where did you get these?”
“Soccer club. And now I’d appreciate it if you ask no further questions, because hell it was hard to get a shirt your size!”
Thinking that it was fair enough, Kazuya obeyed him.
:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:
“Honestly,” Kazuya chuckled, feeling slightly amused, “I have no idea that you’d know my size. It’s a little creepy, in fact.”
“I suggest you to be thankful for that?” Jin asked before seated himself on the grass field. Then he motioned the other to sit beside him, who strangely obeyed the request. “If only you’re this obedient all the time.” Jin muttered.
“You fool. This is only because you lent me this shirt, don’t get all cocky.” Kazuya barked in protest. Jin merely rolled his eyes once more as he emptied his bag, drying them under the sunlight.
Kazuya spotted something and analyzed them, “Eleven letters from eleven different senders. Girls’ handwritings. Are these love letters?”
Jin snatched the letters away from Kazuya’s hand before staring at the other with a smug, challenging look, “Correct. That is one of the consequences of being famous.”
Kazuya shook his head as he clicked his tongue repeatedly while muttering, ‘once a boaster, always a boaster’ under his breath.
“I guess your girlfriend lives a difficult life,” Kazuya commented. But then the older man stated that he did not have any, which Kazuya admitted quite shocking to hear.
“These girls are fun to hang out with, I agree…but if it’s love you speak of, I dare say they’re not qualified enough.”
“Why am I not surprised…you and your high standards”
Jin defended himself, much to Kazuya’s expectation, “Hey, it’s not about high standards…ok perhaps partly, it is, but I personally think that love is a serious matter, and I’d only give it to the right person only. It’s only natural if I don’t have a serious girlfriend because there hasn’t been one, right?”
“Finally you say something relatively intelligent.” Kazuya smiled teasingly. Jin merely shrugged.
“What about you, then?”
Kazuya’s laughter filled the air when he heard the question, then he shook his head as he tried to suppress his amusement. “Excuse me for being unromantic, but unlike you, right now I’m only concerned about my scholarship. And I’m not even interested in dating.”
Ok, now he had one more reason to call Kazuya a nerd, Jin thought. “But at least you HAD someone you care about, or someone who cared for you, don’t you?”
“……………I don’t know…” Kazuya stared at the wide blue sky above; his eyes seemed so deep in thoughts and sorrows. Jin hated it whenever Kazuya seemed to be so distant, so broken, so lonely… “I guess I’m more of a loner type? Yes, I am one lone wolf, so I have none.”
“Oi oi, don’t overestimate yourself, kid,” Jin chuckled mockingly, “you’re more like a lone sheep than a lone wolf.”
“What did y-” Jin threw the towel at his face playfully, cutting him off all of a sudden.
“Has it ever occurs to you that somewhere out there, there are people who care for you?”
Kazuya snorted cynically, “Unfortunately no, and I don’t believe they exist. That’s just plain fantasy for me.”
“Pessimistic doesn’t suit you. I believe they do, honestly. In fact, who knows there’s one around here?”
“Really?” the younger boy quirked an eyebrow incredulously, “How close?”
“……Very”
His heart skipped a beat, and for some reasons, staring at Jin as the other kept glancing at anything but him only made his heart beat faster. If only he could listen more intently, he would have heard the other’s heart beating as loud, as fast-and if he looked closer he would have noticed a timid shade of pink tainting the other’s cheekbones, burning them from underneath.
Instead, Kazuya averted and stared at the landscape before him as he hugged his knees together, placing his chin on them. Jin stole a glance at him and was enthralled by the view of the lovely creature sitting beside him. Very lovely, indeed, but he could clearly see the agony and solitude dancing deep beneath those dazzling dark orbs, how the alluring smile was stained with dejection and pain, making him looked like a melting candle.
Jin raised his hand instinctively, trying to touch the soft brown strands, or perhaps the beautiful porcelain face, or anything Kazuya-but stopped midway. Shifting uncomfortably, he grasped his towel firmly instead while mocking himself for suddenly coming up with such desire-and a little for pulling back from the act.
The silence made him feel uneasy all of a sudden, before Kazuya broke it with hesitant mutterings of, “If…if only I…”
“…….Yes?” Jin asked, urging him to continue. But the latter just exhaled deeply and smiled at him, shaking his head lightly.
”Never mind,” he said, “I’ve got to go…class is starting soon,” he finished as he stood up and gathered his things. “I believe you have one as well, right? Don’t skip it…or have you already planned on doing so?”
“…What? No! No, of course not!”
The younger boy chuckled and turned to leave while saying, “Relieving. See you later then.” But only a few steps later, he stopped and turned to face his senior for the last time, “And Jin…”
“…A lone wolf will always stay alone. He will walk alone, live alone, and die alone. That’s just how nature is.”
Upon hearing the words, Jin found his tongue rigid, unable to form any words to reply. He could only sit numb while watching the other’s retreating back going away and away from him.
Once he regained his senses, Jin laid himself on the soft grass and gazed at the mist blue sky with a forlorn look, “How cruel…” he whispered, sighing deeply, “you have me, don’t you?”
Jin did not realize since when did he start to care for Kazuya. Nor did he realize when he ever starts feeling lonely whenever he’s not around.
Because before he had time to, the affections bloomed inside his heart.
And it was enough to captivate him.

Ribbands to flow confusedly:
A winning wave, deserving note,
In the tempestuous petticoat:
A careless shoe-string, in whose tie
I see a wild civility:
Do more bewitch me than when art
Is too precise in every part.
