Thank you for sharing both story and insights. It's the perfect tale for New Year's Day in a year in which we all wish to move on. Let's hope we'll be as good at it as the Hogwarts Staff.

Minerva buried her face in her hands making the kind of noise only a teacher can produce, an earthy sigh ripped from her very soul. It was the first evening of the Christmas holidays Right from the first line, I can tell we’re on to a winner. (I teach teachers for a living, I’ve so heard that sound. And made it.)
Most importantly the newest room in the castle was fully kitted out with squishy armchairs and soft floor cushions, three fireplaces and multiple snack cupboards, a library of games and books and craft materials. This had been the idea of the aforementioned Boy Who Lived, a neutral space outside the common rooms where students could spend their free time without being bound by house prejudices. The lad has some very good notions. And the room sounds delightful.

I didn’t know that when I woke as a ghost, and so I summoned Jemmy who had been helping us in the Room of Requirement and she came and said hi and helped me find people! Yes! Sometimes, all it takes to do a thing is not knowing it’s considered impossible. If anyone would find that out, it’s bouncy Mr. Creevey.
On the first day of planning, Monday 21st December, Great echo of The Twelve Days of Christmas here, I can’t help humming the tune while reading.
