GENERAL QUESTIONS

Your Name?: Niina, aka Mary von Sickingen aka Lunacy

Age?: 18

Gender?: Female

Location?: Finland

Horoscope?: Capricorn

Likes?: Existentialism, sarcasm, psychology, philosophy, black humor, warm socks, chocolate, sunsets, strawberry cider, aggressive music, intelligence, rain, thunder, driving, religions, school shootings (well - not like but I'm interested in them).

Dislikes?: Fundamentalism, censorship, coldness, loud noises, stupidity, hypocrisy, addictions, wasted abilities, human race, Lady GaGa.

Hobbies?: Writing, Photoshop, listening to music, movies.

Favourite quote/saying/lyric?: "It is better to die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly", said Friedrich Nietzsche and I couldn't agree more.

What are your strengths?: My intelligence and independency, which have lead me to forming my own way of viewing this world. Also, they lead to uniqueness, and thus I am pretty careless of what people think of me. My imagination is also pretty good, though I tend to overuse it.

What are your weaknesses?: I am self-centered and quite mean. I'm not good with people. And let's quote Herman Hesse's Der Steppenwolf here - pretend it's about a female instead of a male: I saw at the time that the root of his pessimist was not world-contempt but self-contempt; for however mercilessly he might annihilate institutions and persons in his talk he never spared himself. It was always at himself first and foremost that he aimed the shaft, himself first and foremost whom he hated and despised. That's quite about it.

What do you like best about yourself?: My intelligence. I also like my sense of humor (sarcastic, witty, mean, obscene) and my taste of music, duh.

What are your goals or aims in life?: I want to get to a university, and later on I want to buy a huge mansion and a sports car, haha. And I also want to see Marilyn Manson live, and I want to have a reptile as a pet. Seeing that I've already fallen in love, and am already engaged, I see no point in dreaming about that. Ok, I'd want to be with my girlfriend until I die.

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

Which character from Harry Potter, DISCLUDING the obvious answer of Harry, would you say you most admire and why?: I'm going to have to say Severus Snape, because we're so alike - our pasts, and the way we view the life at the moment. I'm not sure if he's a role model of mine or anything, but I still admire him. Somehow I also admire Voldemort, because there's something about strong and powerful men that intrigue me. Always has been.

Which Hogwarts subjects would you be best and worst at - or otherwise like and dislike most?: I'd probably be best at History of Magic, because I'm good at Muggle history. I would also like it, I think. I'd be worse at Flying, because it's a sport, and I dislike sports. Too much fuss and sweat. I'd probably like Potions, as a way of clearing my thoughts. You know, being occupied in something that takes a lot of measuring and calculating lets your subconscious mind work on something else.

Which house would you WANT to be in, or which do you have most respect for and why?: I want to be in Slytherin, because most of the characters that I like were Slytherins (how shallow is that?), but I respect all of the houses. There's something good in every single house, I think. But then again, I see a huge load of Slytherin in me, and almost every single online quiz puts me in Slytherin.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: I would love to like myself, really. That's it, as simple as that.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?: This is the part where I should say world peace or getting rid of famine, but seeing that all of those would lead to excessive overpopulation, I'm not going to say neither. Instead I'm going to say I'd want the excessive overpopulation to face its end (seeing that a mammal the size of a human could only have a population of about one million without jeopardizing other species) due to birth control and so forth.

How much use would magic have in your current everyday life?: All the time! Well, probably not all the time, because if I only laid in my bed going "Accio water, Accio pizza, Accio computer, Accio toilet, Scourgify", I'd end up being excessively obese.

If you had one day left to live, what would you do?: I'm going to have to quote Eric Harris here: "I wanna leave a lasting impression on this Earth." I'd blow all my money away, drive around, do all the things I've wanted to do; drugs, alcohol, bungee jumping. Then I'd tell everyone how I really feel about them, and then I'd want to die being close to the one person I'm able to love in this godforsaken world.

Tell us three random things about yourself:
  1. I always wear bright socks, while my other clothes are black. It's my teensy bit of optimism; no matter how dark the times are, there is always something colourful somewhere - if you only know where to look!
  2. I have had many dreams about Voldemort recently. I think he's trying to tell me something. I just don't know what (and I'm not sure if I want to know - last night he was in a jacuzzi singing YMCA). Really.
  3. I'm quite intolerant when it comes to other people. I'm not a racist or anything; I just have very high standards about people. Nor am I against homosexuality - I am in a relationship with another girl.

THIS OR THAT QUESTIONS

Realism or Idealism?: Realism.
Optimism or Pessimism?: Pessimism, with a touch of optimism (see the first fact ↑).
Order or Flexibility?: Umm, order.
Planning or Spontaneity?: Whatever I plan it always fails and I end up acting spontaneously. So, planning. Failing is what I'm good at.
Goals or Dreams?: Goals.
Practical or Abstract?: Practical abstractness. No, really - practical. I dislike people who are too abstract and can't think practically at all.
The Individual or The Collective?: The Individual, absolutely. I'm the most individualistic person I know. Which isn't a lot.
Standing your ground or Surrendering?: Standing your ground, because those who surrender end up being tortured. Right? Right? :D
Lover or Fighter?: Fighter.
Impulsive or Cautious?: Cautious, I think.
Mature or Immature?: A bit of both, depending on the situation.

SITUATIONAL / IN-STORY QUESTIONS

Would you hex someone who was bothering you there and then?: Oh, yes. With something mean. Anti-erection hexes for men and so forth.

What do you see in the Mirror of Erised?: Me, myself and I. Liking myself. Because that's the part that keeps me from being happy at the moment.

What special wizarding power - i.e. Animagi, Metamorphagi, being a Seer - would you want to have?: Animagi, absolutely. I would love to see the world through an animal's eyes. Curiosity isn't a sin, right?

In what situation would you use an Unforgiveable curse?: In order to get what I want/need I'd use The Imperius Curse and The Cruciatus Curse. I'd only use The Killing Curse if begged to do it, or if someone was in great pain. I respect nothing more than human being's rights to decide for their own lives.

Be honest - if you were in the wizarding community, what view would you take on blood heritage? (If you don't know, perhaps put your current views of class and the like into context): As an outsider - meaning, I'm not involved in the entire business at all - I think blood purity is a very important thing. Genealogy and so forth: if Magical folk marries Muggles, it means they don't necessarily get Magical kids. But a witch and wizard will more likely get a Magical kid. I'm not saying Muggles are "lesser" human beings or anything like that - I'm just saying that if the Magical folk is a minority, and they don't want the Magical blood to disappear completely, they should reproduce keeping that in mind. A Voldemort-like maniac blood purity madness is too much, after all, he ended up killing Magical folk as well, but he has a point. Somewhere below all the "KILL EVERYTHING!" madness. Somewhere very deep.

Imagine the Death Eaters come to your house, you being the head of an average wizarding family. They say join them, or otherwise give them ONE member of the family. What do you choose to do? What action perhaps would you take after making this decision? "Hello, my beloved friend! For tonight's Death Eater pajama party, we can take my stepfather and Crucio him, what do you think?" No, really. If I wasn't a Death Eater, I'd give them my stepfather. We don't get along - at all. (Who'd get along with a 50-something man who keeps calling me names - really mean ones, that is - and who is the embodiment of being everything but polite?)

Colin Creevey has been following you around all day, trying to get you to teach him a new secret spell he saw you do that he thought was cool. What do you do?: Imperio + "Jump off a cliff!" + "I don't know what happened! He just jumped!" Or then I'd smack him. I hate people who follow me around.

Would you rather be attacking up close and personal, hiding far off using a type of long range attacks, or not on the battle field at all?: Close and personal, because I can only see myself attacking people that deserve it, and nothing would satisfy my craving for revenge more than seeing them suffer and/or die.

FINAL QUESTIONS

If you could become any character from the series for one day - 24 hours - who would it be?: Lord Voldemort. I'd write myself a note stating all that I know about genealogy and stuff and then I'd sign it "The wiser version of Lord Voldemort. P.S. Get yourself together, or the four-eye will kill you, mate."

If you were given the chance to permanently become part of the HP-verse (as "yourself"), would you take it?: Definitely.
