So facebook is blocked by the government in China, but not livejournal. The people of China should really discover the glory of LJ and not get any guff from the man

If you haven't read Wild Swans, I recommend giving it a read when you have some time - it takes a look at the recent history of China through three generations of women. The author, her mother (a Communist official) and her grandmother (a one-time concubine). So very interesting and really gives some structure to what was going on at the time from the inside. I have a very superficial knowledge of China's recent history so I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

anything that threatens the rule of the government i would assume. specifically places where organization and discussion can occur or news sites that are critical of the government.

but anti-china sentiment can and does happen on lj i'm sure,
