Wait ... so because you're a vegetarian, you don't allow your cat to eat meat either?

I got an idea.

Put some turkey and some tofu a few feet from each other and then put your cat on the other side of the room and see which one it goes for.

I mean, if you're so interested in the well-being of animals, you'd let your cat decide for itself if it was a vegetarian or not, right?

You took the words out of my fucking mouth. Evie, you can't decide for a fucking animal if it's going to eat meat or not. It's NATURAL instinct is to eat meat. It's horrible that you're going to try and make your cat also vegetarian. My god. It's stupid, that's what it is.

Cats are carnivores. Accept it and buy meat food.

Dogs and cats live in the uniquely unnatural environment of our homes. While “in nature” they would hunt, food now magically appears twice daily in their bowls. They are given medicine to cure illnesses, and are surgically sterilized to control their reproduction. Why insist that their diet alone remain “natural”- especially when it must come at the expense of other animals’ lives ( ... )

"However, it is essential to remember that vegetables alone are absolutely insufficient, and must only be given in addition to other foods that provide the cat with all the necessary nutrients."

From your vegan cat link...

Just give the kitty some meat. Spare him from lack-of-protein disfunctions later in life.

Hm, it seems that vegetarian cats do as well, if not better, then meat-eating cats.

So what is the big fucking problem then.

Cats aren't supposed to be vegetarian. Besides, kittens are going to hunt either way so it's going to eat meat whether she likes it or not.

I love cats and part of their beauty is their hunt.

I realize that it will hunt and I'm fine with that I won't be spending my money on meat for it though.

Also, did you not read this:

What’s Really in Meat-Based Pet Food:
* Carcasses of euthanized cats & dogs (some with flea collars and containing sodium pentobarbital used for euthasia).
* Unwanted insecticides and pharmaceuticals from diseased livestock (complete with plastic ID tags).
* Rotting supermarket rejects including plastic and styrofoam packaging.
* Animal parts deemed “unfit for human consumption” (heads, legs, tongues, intestines, esophagi, beaks, feathers, bones, blood, lungs, ligaments, etc.)
* Diseased and cancerous body parts from the 4 D’s: dead, dying, diseased, & disabled factory-farmed animals

Or are you choosing to ignore it?If you love cats why would you want to feed your cat shit like that?

I'm not saying it can't eat meat, I'm saying I'm not spending money on that fucking shit.

As long as you're having fun with "facts" ...

How many animals have you killed just to remain a self-righteous vegan?

if the food tastes good and tastes like meat the cat is probably going to eat it and be happy. i would imagine that vegetarian cat foods have all the nutrients cats need, including taurine, so i don't think the cat will be harmed nutritionally ( ... )

whats next, tigers eating lettuce.

I mean seriously how far do we push this lifestyleism.
Put a cat in nature and watch how many veggies it finds. Or, you can watch it go kill and eat something raw. Felines are carnivores, deal with it.

I'm not sure how natural feeding a cat is in the first place. Yes, I get they are made to hunt but what you have to understand is I'm not forcing my vegetarian lifestyle on my cat, I'm keeping my vegetarien lifestyle by not buying meat for my cat.

Its not that I don't want my cat to eat meat, that is not it at all I'm just not going to BUY the meat for my cat, okay?
