Gertrude and his lady are spending a lot of time together, so Gertrude and I can't make any new toys for Sparky. I hope Sparky doesn't think we hate her or anything. *blows bubbles for Sparky to play with*

I finally got to see Aunt Elly's baby! Gertrude and I made her a little tiny boat that really floats! Well, Gertrude carved it and I painted it red.

Then Sparky wanted one, so we painted hers pink with gold polka dots. I'm glad Sparky knows how to swim.

We're making something for Mr. Irmo, Sparky says. But I can't say what it is, cause it's a surprise.

Gertrude is working on something for Mr. Aule, too, I think. I wonder if I should make some sandwiches for Mr. Eru.

Or at least, I am. Gertrude is trying to teach her smithy work, I think, but he doesn't have a forge so he's acting it all out instead.
