1. Character's Name: Charles Xavier
2. Fandom: X-Men: First Class
3. Time Frame: Just before the jet takes off for the confrontation with Shaw.
4. Age: 30

5. Background:So once upon a time, there was an insanely rich family. And they had a son. Being the ostentatious bastards they were, they named him Charles Xavier -- presumably because they thought anyone who picked on their child growing up could just be convinced to stop via the application of cash. Apparently it worked. Either that or Charles' special gift showed up earlier than expected and he scared off anyone who dared mock his name by rooting around in their heads. He had to learn it from somewhere, considering by the age of twelve, he was able to rip into the brain of an intruder and inform them that under no uncertain terms had his mother ever lifted a finger to engage in her traditional society role of kitchen slave ( ... )

History:
... Until someone started throwing chains and anchors around. The unnamed man then proceeded to try and stop the submarine from escaping with the power of his mind. Results were predictable, and the stranger seemed like he was going to drown, or suffer from horrible brain injury from straining too hard. Sensing the presence of a fellow mutant, Charles did the only reasonable thing.

He dove into the water, rooted around in the stranger's brain, and fished out the angry Erik a few choice words and presumably some CIA-issue water wings.

The man turned out to be one Erik Lensherr, a man with the power to bend metal and basically become a living magnet. Or Magneto. He also had a bone to pick with Shaw -- who had been a terrible influence on Erik's past, under the name of Schmidt. Because Germans are fond of mashing consonants together. Erik accompanied Charles and Raven to the CIA's facility, where they made some introductions -- namely to Hank McCoy, a super genius with monkey feet -- did some talking, and... then Erik ( ... )

6. Personality:Charles is an optimist. You have never met a more optimistic guy. He's very calm, at ease with the world. He doesn't tend to get riled up easily, preferring to solve conflicts with discussion and debate rather than pounding things with his fists. He firmly believes that, one day, humans and mutants will coexist in peace. Even the events on the beach in the end of the film don't seem to dampen this belief. He'll do his part, whatever he must, in order to see that peace. He believes with all his heart that it will come about one day ( ... )

7. Previous Game Developments:
None

8. Appearance:
He's not very tall. According to the internet, his actor is 5' 7", so it's likely Charles is around the same size. Even if he seems to be shorter than everyone else in the entire film. He's got dark hair that he is extremely proud of, blue eyes... and nothing all that spectacular. Not too muscular, not too skinny. Just fairly average overall.

9. Abilities:In canon, he is an extremely powerful telepath. He's capable of reading minds from a great distance, of overhearing thoughts, and generally plunging through peoples' memories like they're a particularly interesting tumblr page. In canon, he's shown to freeze at least a hallway full of FBI agents in place via their thoughts -- if not the whole building. He doesn't exactly need permission to go brain-diving, as it seems to come as naturally to him as does breathing. He can "speak" into others' minds, projecting his voice to them. Yes, he does know what you're thinking, and he may, in fact, comment on it. He's shown to ( ... )

13. Writing sample - Third Person Prose:
It was probably stupid. No - actually, it was incredibly stupid. If he was caught, he'd likely never live it down.

The downside of sharing living space with several young people, most likely, was that they always talked amongst themselves about everything and nothing. To most, what he was doing would be completely innocuous. There was nothing at all odd about it. Some people would likely dismiss it as something eccentric, but that was all. However, to those residing in a certain house, learning a very certain set of skills, it was painfully obvious that he was doing something painfully ridiculous. In his defense, they all were having a bit of downtime, because, even in the most intense training regimen, there was a need to stop and breathe ( ... )
