Some people really believe in horoscopes.
I can accept that.
Some people think horoscopes are complete crap.
I can accept that.
I think I'm somewhere in the middle.

Either way, mine really freaked me out today. (I'm a Scorpio, for the record.)
As published in the Toronto Star:

You have passed a milestone. The point of no return has been reached. And this ( Read more... )

I think I'm also somewhere in the middle. I like to read mine to see what it is, but I'm not going to believe it, or follow it or something. Some people are very hung up on them, so. I think they can make sense of them usually, you just have to think about it. To me, your milestone, or whatever would be that you've finally decided that you want to stay home and work for a while. That was a huge deal for you, because for months you weren't sure of what to do.

It's just how you look at it.

Ah part of that doesn't make sense. I meant that I think a horoscope can make sense if you let it make sense. Some people will read them and be like 'Oh that's nothing like me, that's stupid.' But if you were to sit down and think about it, you could probably fit it into your life somehow.

The only thing that doesn't make sense to me with Horoscopes is that someone with the exact star sign is apparently going through the same thing. I'm a Taurus, and so are two of my friends, but we're all very different so I don't know how we can be going thourgh the same things at the same time, you know?

There's a free newspaper here called the Metro & the horoscopes are RIDICULOUS... if you follow them you're crazy. My best one was 'today is a good day to buy electronics' so I guess all the Scorpios need to go buy their mp3 players or computers on that day. :p

I suppose that could be my milestone, but I decided on that a long time ago. But I guess now I know that I'm doing it for sure... hence point of no return. :S & now would be a time to move stuff to Ottawa & pick courses & I'm not so yea, no return...

I agree, if you think about it, it can fit into your life.
I don't get that either, how all Taurses or Scorpios can be or feel the same things. We debated this in science class in grade 12, actually.... pretty interesting stuff.

omg I'm a Taurus. Those horoscopes can be preeeetty weird when they're accurate. But then you get some from like newspaper, internet, magazines and they're all different, I suppose if you look in the right place you might actually get an accurate reading.

I don't follow horoscopes daily or live my life according to them like my dad [seriously, if it said 'today is a good day to buy electronic goods'], he'd go out and buy something. It said the other day it would be wise to invest goods in a friend, so he bought my mum a new cell phone lol. And my mum uses those card things and reads some other thing similar to horoscopes. Anyway star signs, I do think they're awesome, I am an Aries and it describes me very, very well, except for the tomboy part, I am definately not a tomboy. I used to be seriously obsessed with this stuff! I like to read them but it's not a necessity to my life. I don't like the newspaper telling me what to do :-P.

Hm. I don't see how horoscopes can be real since astrology was developed before some basic scientific principles were discovered and even some planets in the solar system.

I still like to read mine, though, because they still give helpful advice that everyone can use!
