Going on day 3 of liberation from pop. Had some cravings but overcame them. I've been drinking mainly water. I haven't really felt any different and don't know if I will. I'm hoping to stay strong.

I think I shall embark on a journey to the land where there is no pop or alcohol. Last year I tried giving these things up for Lent however I believe I caved about day 3. I don't think I'll have any problem giving up a beer at night however it's the pop that has me in its death grip. As prices have increased a lot in the past few years and I ( Read more... )

Signed up for Royal Oak's Oak Apple Run which is a 10k. It's June 4th which means I have 15 weeks to train. My goal is to run it under an hour. Totally do-able. Lent starts next week. I think I'll resurrect my livejournal. Does death really occur in threes? First my childhood Sunday school teacher on Wednesday, then my cousin on Saturday only to be followed by the beloved Polly later on in the day. I can't help but feel guilty about Polly. I'll write more later.

In other news, today is our 4 year wedding anniversary. We're pretty much like an old couple now. Sometimes when we go out to eat we'll order one dish and split it... that's what old people do, I think.
