As Roux's official photographer, I tagged along as Mike and Amanda went to get their Christmas tree. Of course, Roux had a blast flying through the trees and feeling all the fir needles. Then we brought the tree home and proceeded decorating!

We finally got a place in SLO! And, naturally, the first thing we tackled after moving in was to tear up the carpet and refinish the hardwood floors! Unfortunately, the floors of this turn-of-the-century (probably) home weren't in great condition like the floors of our house in Atascadero. Since we only spent a few hours in the actual city of Chicago, I'm not sure if we can call our visit to the Midwest a "week in Chicago" as we kept telling ourselves and everyone else leading up to the trip. The second half of our Colorado adventure took us into the Rocky Mountains. We stayed in the charming town of Silver Plume (population: 200), thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet. This year marks milestone birthdays for both Andrew and me. He just turned 30 and I'll be 25 a week from today! To celebrate, we took our first vacation to a place neither has been.
