I didn't get any leadership position for next year. I wish I did, but its not gonna be that bad. I'm gonna talk to Prof. Bush as a follow up to the audition. I'd like to know what I can improve on. I do have admit that I'm taking this harder than I let on.

sounds like what happened when i didn't get leadership my junior year at east. mr. nielsen told me i shouldn't have "followed up" and that it just showed that i was taking it too personally. im not sure if you want to take my advice on this one, but i would just let it be and just accept the fact that you probably just aren't old enough, or they just didn't have enough positions for you. because seriously, there isn't anything wrong with you. if you think your audition went well, it most likely did. don't take it personally chris...thats a lesson i need to learn myself, too.

Did he really tell you that you shouldn't have followed up... I think it shows maturity and interest in the position. They just don't want people nosing around the politics. As someone who's been on both sides, I can tell you it's there and this is a good example ( ... )

As you know, I'm not very good at making people feel better, but you just need to remember that you'll be a sophomore next year. Very few people attain leadership as sophomores. You'll make it as a junior because the professors will know you better by then. Just relax and take shit as it comes. But keep making a positive impression on all of them.
