Since livejournal doesn't support pingback or trackback, I thought I'd tell you I used part of that article in my blog.

That just makes me angry and sad. I dont understand peopel!!! How can they not understand how wrong this is? How can they stand by and watch this happen? Dont they know that this WILL affect them. That this isnt just some remote area that they can never hope to understand. I want to go there some day. My mom has been there but I want to see the realthing not the distroyed aftermath... My mom donates money to the nature conservancy ever month for the rain forest. I wish there more to do though. ANWR is my other big thing, Im going threre in 2 weeks and Im goign to take lots of pictures so I can prove to everyone it is somethign worth saving and it needs to be done. I want to travel all over the world someday and take pictures of endangered spots to try and show people whats going on and maybe hopefull change some peopels mind and getting them to do somethign and make a difference.

yes! i know! i cannot belive people would just turn a blind eye and not pay attention. beaucse this is something that defintly affects us. we are so dependent on these resources, and since we can be so careless, there vanishing. But people still do hurtful things to the enviorment. its ridiculous.

I don't mean to be a nay saying ninny but what can you do about it really? Nothing that wouldn't conflict with something else. It's a damn shame what is happening to the rain forest and the world but there's nothing you can do. No utopia can be achieved that isn't false. Someone is always going to be looking to make a buck and if the rain forest is it well then there isn't much you can do to stop them if they've got their mind set on it. Except kill them. I don't think people who would want to save the rain forest are pro murder, even if it's for vengence.

Our people are poor, our people are starving. We need money. Oh fuck man, let's cut down the jungle so we can actually compete in the rat race." It's not fair, it's not right, and it's not "moral". Can't do anything about it though so you might as well give up. Well I think you guys will hate me now but whatever. At least I gave a different opinion. I'm such a nay saying ninny.
