Where do I even start...

The guy’s already a walking telenovela, no need to rile him up. Jensen takes the wounded limb and places it on the little cleaning table, keeping his touch all butterfly wings and gentle breezes, and doing his utmost best at keeping his eyes from rolling. Not that it’d even matter. Jared’s got his own eyes clamped shut and his jaw clenched, like Jensen’s got a powersaw rumbling at the ready.

Gigantic baby Jared and black-scrubs Jensen. Sheesh.

I'm hooked, I'm in, and it just gets even more amazing.

In the end, Jared gets eight little blue sutures on his thumb and Jensen gives him one of the lollipops he usually reserves for the tots. Like the little supergirl who came in earlier with a fractured wrist and more or less yawned her way through x-rays and prodding and casting. Still though, it makes Jared smile and the smile is, admittedly, way nicer than the mindless shrieking he’d almost started up again with the first stitch Jensen went to work on. Ahhhh. This is just perfect

Ahhh! I saw this come up, and couldn't not read it immediately. I love how real it all felt, Jensen's voice was just perfect, going from crush to anger, to avoidance, and then into denial, and finally love. Him giving Jared a blow job while on the phone with his wife just about killed me. Most definitely glad it worked out for them in the end.

Aw, you. I love this so much. I love the opening scene with giant baby Jared, and I love all his not-really-emergencies and Jensen's voice is wonderful. I also totally loved how the wife was a genuine person, not a caricature of vapid evilness. Your writing is just lovely, as always!

Whaaaa, that was perfect and all kinds of sweet and beautiful and I love it that I got to read it right before bed, because maybe I'll go dream of something like that :D Favorite things: Jensen saying "we" while talking to jared about stupid injuries for the first time, Jared's fake injuries, cats dragging their butts all over the floor (oh the perfection of that metaphor!) and the fact that Jensen is a night shift ER RN. I love that last part so much! ♥ Seriously, so much love for that.

Haha, you actually did an excellent job of writing Jensen as an ER nurse, i.e. I could tell you probably weren't in that field but it was by the lack of little insider details, not by any inaccuracies. You really did great with it :D Like the fact that Jensen is an RN ♥ The classic TV medical drama bullshit would've been to make him a doctor and have him do everything, when in reality a doctor would've spent about two minutes in the room with Jared's fake injuries. I hate those fics where nurses give out meds and walk patients up and down the hallways >.< .

And ER aside, what a cool and sweet fic :D I really did love it an awful lot.

ahh yes, that makes absolute sense. although i did probably take the supply room bit from various TV plots over the years, haha. the thumb thing though - that was, regretfully, all personal experience. i actually don't allow glass dishes in my house anymore as a result of it, not one single item. i showed up in the ER with a huge towel under my hand, the blood was extensive. and seeing all the fat inside and everything else. blech. don't know how you do it, you brave person. and yes, the nurse did the whole stitching process!

I saw you posted this just before I had to go out. I was going to be good but I couldn't wait. Reading half of it made me late. Thankfully my friend had to answer an email in the pub so I read some then and during the walking home, slightly drunk (how I didn't trip over and brain myself, I do not know). Finished it on the comfort of my sofa.
I love Jensen in this and the bit in the supermarket, just whoa! And "Jared leaves with a stretched out collar and without the underwear he walked in with. Jensen goes back to work with his insides scooped out and the taste of Jared’s cock still there on his tongue." Just perfection!
I always feel so desperately worried about your characters as I know your good about not being overprotective with them but I was so unbelievably relieved this had a happy ending : )

ahh, apologies for making you late! i'd meant to post this hours beforehand but couldn't for the life of me come up with a title so i shut the laptop and went to bed. and when i woke up, a friend handed me a title wrapped up nicely and ready to go lol. i'm so so happy to hear you liked the ending. i did actually debate going the more open ended route but then decided i couldn't actually bear to do that. ♥ ♥ you're so kind!
