i wish i was little girl again, too. I used to run around my mom's legs and then hide under her long skirts and think she couldnt find me. I used to sit in my dads lap and watch wrestling with him on sunday nights (ha). I used to go outside and play "horsey" with my dogs. I dont do any of those things anymore and when i think about how happy i used to be i just start to cry. Being a child is one of the most beautiful things anyone can ever be. The innocence, happiness, and laughter. Its even sadder to think about how some kids dont get the things that most of us had...they dont get a chance.

I always feel like the odd man out when there is talk of childhood, and innocent happyness. Sure, I have vauge notions of what a childhood of that nature is like, but honestly, life now is far better than it ever was then. Worrying, crying, and fighting were the daily family event, and though I'm sure I didn't really think about it, I bore witness. But, at least I learned something; if you keep your chin up, your eyes forward, and your legs kicking, you will find yourself in all the places you never thought you'd be. Happyness, though obscured at times, is never more than a few steps ahead. <3 you Dani.
