[Karai spends a good long time staring at the treetops above her before she realises she's back in the forest. Then she spends a good deal more time not moving except to shift a tree root out from under her spine. Uncomfortable. Hurts. Therefore, alive

[assuming she comes in the front door, Mia will nearly run right into her on the way out of the first-floor kitchen. She's so quiet! But they must have crossed paths before, living in the same building and all.

And she looks tired, and a little...lost? So Mia offers a kind smile.]

[Busy night for the neighbours, it seems. So much for not running into anyone. Karai has seen Mia around the place with Piers, so she at least manages a nod for the girl.]

Thank you, but no. [She's quiet, voice hoarse.] I...do not feel well.

It might help. You sound like you could use it.

[Nope! Karai has no clue. She's just as stubbornly set on going to her room and pretending the world doesn't exist, though the way she looks like a stiff breeze could blow her over probably means she won't put up much of a fight.]

[Saber is also at the 4th building. On the same floor, currently moving things into the new apartment from her old. She hasn't seemed to notice Karai coming by though, a bit too pre-occupied with hustling in a large cardboard box. Pre-occupied enough to possibly bump into Karai without realizing it.]

[Were she not so out of sorts, Karai would simply elect to avoid everyone by climbing in through her ground window. But by the time she finally arrives home, the headache is here in force, and she's too deeply sunk into her own thoughts to do more than blink stupidly at the cardboard box-- right before Saber collides with her.

[Saber equally stumbles back, those manages to gain footing before falling with the box.]

I'm terribly sorry. [She pokes her head out from behind the box.] I wasn't-- [but stops short before the rest can escape her mouth. Was it really...] Karai?

...Saber. [Her voice is a little hoarse, but she's relieved to find it sounds as calm as always. Perhaps she can pretend nothing is out of the ordinary. ...right. And then Karai blinks, taking in the box properly.]

You are moving in?

[Jack is outside the building having a smoke when he catches something out there in the night. He can't quite make it out just yet, though. Maybe when she's closer to a lamp post.]

Damn you, Jack. You would have to be outside right at this time. She curses the fact that her New Feather dress is white-- but perhaps he won't look too closely.]

[Vash has been spending more time lately in the forest since his little drinking binge. It's a good quiet place to try to collect your thoughts.

He wasn't surprise to catch the flash of white in the forest. New Feathers were still trickling in. So he turns to see if they needed help and-]

...Vash, the very nosy. She doesn't want to deal with him. Karai opens her eyes a crack, glancing in his direction. The appropriate venom and unwelcoming glare is beyond her capacity right now, so... that's all he gets.]
