I mentioned this in tumblr how this showed how far behind Ryuga is as compared to Kouga. Or more like, how Kuriyama Wataru's acting was sorely lacking... as compared to Konishi Ryousei. In many aspects. Well, continuing the thoughts from there~

I rarely compare Ryuga much to Kouga anyway, aside from random snark here and there about how I can't seem to be able to empathise with him. Most of my post were focused on my thoughts on the plot anyway.
I don't know how to explain... it's like throughout the series I can't seem to relate with him. I don't have that problem with Aguri and Takeru (despite how the director seemed to want to make Takeru be this person who can't express his emotions in a normal way) or the other characters in the series.
It's kinda sad as well, cos I did find Ryuga's character interesting since he's a complete opposite of Kouga.

It's like in the show, I can feel the emotions when Aguri was feeling angry or frustrated... or when Takeru being sad or devastated. But with Ryuga... even when he was crying or being angered or whatever emotion he was supposed to show, I just can't feel that emotion. It's just... empty.
Ryuga didn't feel like a real person to me. He's just happened to be there in the show despite he was supposed to be the main character.
