So 30th day later I am now out of Naproxen. I plan on giving it a day or two or something like that since I'm on vacation to see how things feel before getting a refill ( Read more... )

Yea we have Blue Cross Blue Shield here, they got rid of Plan A and seriously upped the cost for the premium for Plan B (almost the cost of the old Plan A & Plan B together). I get the high deductible plan ($2500 deductible) with an HSA account (health savings account, it's tax sheltered meaning it pulls out of your check before taxes hit it). I'm lucky though, I go to the Veteran's hospital for most of my things. So the VA hits my insurance but I don't have to pay the difference. I already hit my deductible for this year. May not happen again because I did have quite a few stuff done this year but oh well. But every year health insurances go up. Just to have my kids on the plan will be like an extra $200+ a month, regardless if it's just 1 kid or 2.

It was costing me 44$ monthly for medical but now since I have to change it will cost me 74$ monthly. And I pretty much only earn 75$ a week. So I'm hardly making $ as is.
So really it is going to total out to 84$ monthly when you add the 8$ dental and 2$ Vision.

But whatever I mean I need some fucking medical coverage and seeing how the Choice version is going to cost me and arm and leg if I need medical attention I'm just screwed over and forced to upgrade.

Wish mine was only $74 monthly, mine is $301.66 a month (remember this is the high deductible, the higher the deductible the less your monthly fee) but thank goodness our work kicks in $278.40 & the state $75. Even after all that extra money to get Plan B (which had a $500 deductible, Plan A had no deductible) it's still $141.53 a month so the total cost a month would be $494.93 a month. The health insurance plan's excuse for such a high cost. We're the largest employer of child bearing women in the area... what about the guys? They can't have kids... I'm fixed so I can't have any more kids... so why do I have to pay for other people having kids??

If I add my kids on the high deductible plan it would cost me $204.68, if I go to a lower deductible say $1000 it would cost me $333.18 a month with the kids. My kids qualify for CHIPS (state health insurance) because I was lower income but my money situation has gotten better so we may not qualify this year.

Oh yea, they removed employee and spouse as plans. So now if you wanted to cover you spouse you'd have to get the family plan.

Yea, you shouldn't have to play for what other do as that is already part of what your fucking taxes do.

Always heard mixed reviews about Longhorn. I've never been since it is above my regular price range and it's too far from home. =/

I've never had insurance so I can't relate but, I'm sorry cause I know that corporate greed sucks.

*hugs*
