I just bought a new latch hook today. It's round, and I've never done a round one before. Are they difficult?

If the image is on the canvas, you should be fine. I have a flower-shaped one right now that had nothing on the canvas. It was up to me to try to find the center, and from there find the starting point!

The only difficulty I could see with a round rug is in finishing. Sadly, I can't think of any suggestions for that at the moment. Unless... I suppose if you trim the canvas to leave about 1/2" around the completed rug, you could possibly do a yarn bordr of some sort...

Actually doing the rug is the same, finishing it off you just have to manipulate it so it'll go down flat it'll overlap a bit in some sections but it should be fine.
