Yeah it's Wednesday but feels like a Monday. The wheels seem to continue coming off the company where I work. We have a shop foreman that simply exists by trying to push blame on others for his own faults. I guess today must be my day. The thing is I am too old for that kind of stuff, I won't take it. I did go to the corn maze today. It wasn't too bad but the corn is very dry this late in the year so the maze was pretty easy. I may post a pic, maybe. I did not get to travel to the site I hoped to visit for photo ops but I do have some things in mind to work on, plus I need to begin work on Christmas cards and such anyway. Am I socially challenged? I noticed this about myself this morning after having several people come into my office when I was just wanting to be left alone. It's Friday morning, I have less than 8 hours until the weekend and I just want to be left alone. It's been about a week since I updated. Tonight I am alone in the house. This can be a very nice thing. I am always more relaxed when I am alone like this and I need some relaxation this week. Lots of weird things at work; people quitting, strange visitors. It is raining outside which only adds to the quiet feel of being here alone ( Read more... )

About 3 pm today I noticed smoke entering my office. After opening the door I realized we had a problem. Thick black smoke pouring through the building. No fire alarms at all. Someone ran by saying there was a fire on the shop floor. I calmly grabbed my backup tapes and Hard Drives and left the area. How's that for geek dedication? After the smoke ( Read more... )
