If you export as a png file, you can support more than a 1-bit alpha channel. (the gif looks good on a white background, but the anti-aliasing shows up on a non-white background)

What'd you use to create/package the font?

it's not actually a font, it's just supposed to look like it is. I made it in illustrator, and it took about two hours. A frustrating affair.
