Such was the advice my wise baby brother gave me recently when I was feeling depressed, a motto he shares with his brothers. It was meant metaphorically, of course, but the literal version is quite therapeutic as well. So, the fixtures in my bathroom have finally gone. In addition to my sink stopper coming loose and refusing to go back in, my bathtub faucet's shower setting no longer works, and the stopper in the bath is starting to look really iffy too. Moffat and Gatiss's John Watson has a psychosomatic limp. I have a psychosomatic spider bite.

I am on fire!
Yesterday I finished about $1200 over quota. Today I finished $29 over quota.
BIG. F*&#ING. IMPROVEMENT. Over being a couple thou in the hole every week!! I'm exhausted but kind of jazzed to see how long I can keep it up.
Also, Twining's Cinnamon Cherry Tea is the BEST TEA IN THE FRIGGIN' UNIVERSE. I'm averaging two and a half cups a day. -
How do you feel about the violin?
I discovered Sherlock Holmes when I was in middle school, and ever since then I've wanted to learn to play the violin, just like Doyle's detective hero. I always thought it would be a wonderful thing to be able to just pick up an instrument like that and and just play it at odd moments. Bored, lonely, writer's block?
