I've been sick for the last 5 days so haven't had a chance to update this. I'll try now till I have to go lay down again. >.Christmas was good. We, for once stayed home for Christmas and just rented a hall here. Eh, the thing about most secular (and even modern Christian) holidays is that they all have pagan roots (including birthdays... I googled "JW holidays" and one site stated that the only birthday celebrations mentioned in the Bible were held by nonbelievers; therefore birthday parties = unChristian.) Anniversary celebrations, I guess, would be all right since it is a celebration of something holy, church-related, and not (necessarily) contaminated with old pagan beliefs. Unless you celebrate your anniversary by jumping over the broomstick again or something, of course. =P

The thing that gets me about the JWs, well, two things really, from what I've heard anyway, are: 1) only 144k *men* can be "saved," and 2) any questioning of the faith - at all - gets you disfellowshipped. Er. Thank you but no.

That being said, it completely blows my mind that most of the JW proselytisers I've encountered were women. @_@
