The world-renowned journalist and history, Gwynne Dyer decided to stop by at our school today. He makes these trips to High Schools once every three years. He travelled all the way from London, England to come talk to my school before he head beck to England. And in Social Studies terms, this man is the top most celebrity you could ever meet. Wow, sounded like a cool lecture. In a horribly depressing sort of way, of course. You might also be interested from this linky that I ganked off of an LJ-comm: Iranian Oil Bourse
Kinda long, but the short version is - The US "needs" to attack Iran (or knock 'em down some other way) because if we don't, they'll start offering oil for Euros instead of dollars, thus collapsing the Holy American Empire. Seems reasonable (well, the explanation anyway, not the fact that we're probably going to do it. Empires are soooo first millenium, after all. =P )

And in somewhat related - but funnier - news, we have a troll on Neo that, among other things, claims to be an unknown Bush twin. ROFL Just for yucks, I googled the twins, and found *another* "unknown twin" who's a punk Democrat:
The Child Left Behind. Funny stuff, and she actually doesn't suck (unlike the United States of Suck... haha, I love that line!)
