Today was the hottest day yet this year.  So far today it's been in the lower 80's.  I decided it would be a good opportunity to wash Mickey.  I haven't tried since last summer and at that time it hadn't gone very well.  He has a really hard time with the feel of water running down his legs.  He's gotten a lot better since we got him, but still

Way to Go! Especially with staying focused on being calm. I had to do the same sort of thing with Kay yesterday when I clipped her bridle path (with scissors, mind you, not clippers). Horses definitely tell us when we need an attitude change!! She did so well that next time we'll play with the clippers I think!

Water is hard for them. I try to spray mine everytime after we ride in the summer and I still have to play friendly game with them about it. Sometimes longer than others.

Thanks, yeah, water is hard, although I'm confident that he'll get better the more we play with it. That's the tough thing with having so many horses to play with, some don't get played with as much as they should.
