I am free-wielding the kids on my own this weekend, meaning that I have decided to be "cool nanny" and do things like rent videos and take the kids mountain biking. I also made pizzas from scratch with them and let them adorn their own. If anything, I've decided that I'm going to win them over with food!

The people weren't murderers or after my diamonds, but they did take me to a bar in the forest (imagine my vaguely petrified expression as their car made a right turn into dark and deeply wooded parkland). BUT RATHER! Yesterday, I met a man (let's call him Bruno) in the park whose head was probably a 1/4 the size of a normal head. He told me that he used to play for the boston bruins. My cat just emerged from a cupboard looking guilty. While it's no secret that I don't love her as much as I love my dog (I can't lie about this), I really appreciate how she can be found in the most ridiculous and surprising places.
