Picking up the punk kid

((Continued at the next morning from here.))Breakfast, while not a wholly unpleasant affair, was uncomfortable enough with the amount of interrogation that went with his bacon. If only he'd woken up knowing the price he'd have to pay for his eggs and grease, he'd have picked up a fruit or two at the market square instead ( Read more... )

"Get dressed. I'll wait for you at the market square." Leon had to pick up a few odds and ends for the house, might as well not waste time. Without waiting for a confirmation from the blond, Leon left, basket in hand.

The abrupt dismissal, he was at least used to. He'd heard similar things from Squall all too often for them to not be passingly familiar at the worst. Still the same old Squall, eve if he was possibly delusional and insisted on being called something that wasn't his name.

As for getting dressed, that hardly took very long, and with that done (and his hair properly tamed) he headed out to this 'market square'.

Which of course Leonhart hadn't had the common courtesy to mention a general direction of to get there, leaving Seifer more than slightly lost. But eventually, he managed to make his way there. Now. To find one slightly stoic SeeD.

Leon had become creative (or more likely, practical) and used the basket that formerly functioned as a delivery package into a fruits home. Nestled inside were a few odds and ends, including bananas, a basket of strawberries, some spices and a carton of cigarettes.

If that wasn't enough to fill the thing, he was busy haggling prices with a flower vendor in a low voice.

Well, at least he wasn't hard to spot. Finding him at a flower vendor, of all places, was a little bit surprising but hey, who was he to argue if Squall wanted to feel like a pretty princess or whatever.

"Wouldn't have guessed you for a smoker, Leonhart."

Leon barely turned to acknowledge the teen, only a slight hitch in his haggling conversation showing that the words had been heard.

"Add a few lilies and I'll pay fifteen munny," Leon settled. The vendor saw him about once a week; the negotiation was more of a formality by this point. Taking the wrapped bouquet from the smiling lady, Leon nodded his thanks before turning towards the blond.

"There's plenty you don't know about."
