hey I'm new to the concept of RP and seriously considering joining this one but I'm not sure about the rules of engagement etc. I've been looking online for help on this stuff but is there anywhere you can point me to? Just so I get an idea of what's expected, how much work it is, what the policy is if you want to drop out etc.?

Okay, so, thehost_club is the Main Community where the mods can post annoucements and hostclublogs is the community where the players can post the logs (role-playing) they do with other characters. Or they can even start a thread in the logs community and role play through the comments there.

It's not retarded to ask questions about things that aren't very clear in the FAQ. No worries!
First: The old Sasukes basically did nothing, so you're free to do whatever you'd like with him... so long as it doesn't contradict anything in Itachi's background. Feel free to contact Itachi-mun with any questions you have (I believe her AIM is listed on her Itachi app), but otherwise you are welcome to leave those parts vague on your app and once you're approved you two can smooth them out. Which ever way you'd like. Itachi-mun should be coming off of hiatus as of today.
Finally?: Most people RP through Google Documents (gdocs), which allows multiple people to edit a file at the same time with mostly real-time updates. Some people will start an RP thread through LJ, and in the case of some open logs those are done that way too. But you're welcome to log however you'd like! Gdocs just makes it so much easier and is, I think, the preferred method amongst our players.
