I'm a little concerned about the "diet". What about carbs? Your brain NEEDS carbs to function. It's such a myth that the body doesn't need carbs. I've been in e/d residential centers and worked with dietitians there and in the hospital and yes, more protein helps, but NOT at the expense of fruits and carbs. You'll be depressed and have no energy without proper carbs. Your body needs carbs for fuel. Protein and veggies are actually harder for the body to digest then carbs. The fiber in fruits is really good for you. I'm sure he wants to help, but he's not an RD and doesn't have any expertise on e/d recovery diets. You will be exhausted without carbs.
Why can't you have cake at the party? It's a normal part of life.
Enjoy snuggling with your babies. That's one of my favorite things to do and mine are all big kids!
We definitely aren't anti carbs. Right now, I'm at 52% carbs with what I've eaten. Or..104.7 grams. Just carbs in different forms. I just need to hand this over to someone else and have them decide. Just tell me what to eat! Take it off my hands.
I don't want cake. It just doesn't feel worth it. She usually has some boxed cake that isn't really that good. I'm used to my husband who bakes from scratch, and his are extravagant! I'll usually have a little of his. But hers are sooo not worth the calories. And we plan to get coffee this weekend, which is entirely too close together, and will do my head in. Especially since I'm already freaking out over thanksgiving.
He basically wants to cut out sugar and oil for a week and then slowly add them back in so my body isn't too overwhelmed. at least, I think that's what it is. Is to much to process.
