There's a hint of autumnal chill in the air (in August, Canada your weather systems are confused) which is wonderful because 1) I love scarves 2) fuck humidity, man 3) dreary weather is appropriate for the emotional wavelength this story has me riding on.

I've come down with an unflattering cold and am miserable and bed-ridden. To add insult to injury, my television is broken so I can't just plop down in front of it screaming "PANDER TO ME".
SIRENS. AUGH. HOW DID THIS SHALLOW MISADVENTURE OF MINE TURN INTO A LEGIT SHOW I HAVE LEGIT FEELINGS ABOUT. ( I've been sitting here for the past hour trying to articulate all my FEEEEEEEEELINGS about this show until the screen began to swim, oh my god. ) -
oh man I hope this LJ CUT thing works
catching up with British TV: The Hour 1.02 and 1.03
I thought the pilot was slow and even boring. But the last two episodes warmed me up to it. I like this show best when it's being a thriller serial with Freddy the amateur, innocent gumshoe rather than watching McNulty Dominic West do his impression of a poor man's Don Draper.
