Hope you guys enjoy this <3

After weeks of being followed around by Yuto and Chinen, and their headache inducing chants of ‘please, please, please,’ Keito felt he had no choice but to give in. He couldn’t stand another moment of Ryutaro repeatedly poking him, of Yamada threatening him with bodily harm, and of Daiki smiling sweetly at him, surely planning something diabolical. There was so way Keito could keep enduring Hikaru’s broken English, Yabu’s ’I’m a kicked puppy feel sad for me’ stare and Inoo’s pestering, “So, you think I’m pretty hot, huh?”

The icing on the cake though, Keito’s biggest reason for giving in to their sinister demands was:

“If you don’t continue your fairy tale,” Takaki zipped up his pants, smirking quite evilly at the half-naked Keito laying in his bed, “Then you’re not getting any of this. Ever.”

Banging his head against the wall, Keito resisted the urge to jump out of the window of his and Hikaru’s hotel bed room, as the other danced to the door, letting the group in.

“I’m so excited!” Chinen immediately exclaimed, running over to Keito and glomping him, looking up at him with adorable eyes, “We’ve been wanting this sequel for weeks!”

Keito forcibly smiled and patted Chinen on the head, who bounded off and sat down on the floor in Ryutaro’s lap, grabbing a box of chocolates from the large snack pile. Yamada and Yuto sat next to them, munching on strawberry pockey while Daiki, whose head was resting in Yuto’s lap, happily ate his chocolate pockey. The rest of BEST sat behind this group, taking turns drinking from a sake bottle Inoo stole from somewhere at some point.

“Fuck my life,” Keito mumbled to himself in English, shaking his head sadly at his group of friends.

“Stop judging me!” Inoo yelled out, grabbing a cupcake and throwing it at Keito, hitting him square in the chest, “Story time, now!”

Taking a bite from the cupcake, Keito began the sequel to The Most Epic Bedtime Story Ever Told.

Well, as I’m sure you all remember, I said last time that Prince Yuya and the English Knight Keito lived happily every after. This statement is true, but many tragic events took place before their happiness was achieved.

When they returned to the Kingdom of Tokyo, shouts of joy echoed throughout the streets as they saw Prince Yuya, alive and well. Even his older brothers, Prince Hikaru, Daiki and Yuri, were relieved to see their baby brother and embraced him warmly, promising they would be better brothers in the future. The only person who didn’t express their happiness was King Yabu, because while Keito and his duo of lowly servants were gone, his condition worsened and now the King was in a coma. When Prince Yuya saw his father he began to cry, tears of sadness running down his cheeks as he rushed to his father’s side, grabbing the King’s cold hand and holding it above his heart.

“Father,” Yuya sobbed, “I am home, I am safe. Feel my beating heart father and know that I am okay, please.”

The King was unresponsive though, and Yuya sat by his father’s side, his brothers taking turns and joining him, the days turning into weeks and the weeks becoming months, but their father continued to remain in a coma. Because of this, the kingdom was in a state of panic, wondering who would lead them until the King reawaked.

“I shall do it,” Hikaru spoke up one evening, eyeing the royal throne, “As the eldest, I will become King til father is with us again.”

And so it was. Prince Hikaru became King Hikaru within the next few weeks, and a grand ball was held in his honor. The royal families from many kingdoms showed up, like King Ryo and his wife Queen Tatsuya, along with their daughter, Prince Yuya’s future bride to be, Princess Hasshi. As the guests continued to arrive, many sat about socializing, drinking fine wine and talking about politics, while others twirled about on the ballroom floor, dressed fashionably well in Johnny’s dresses and suits.

“Princess Hasshi is there?” Yuto held onto Yamada, looking frightened, “Oh man, this is gonna be bad, I can feel it.”

Prince Yuya was in neither of these groups; instead he was outside with Keito, the couple laying down in the grass, star gazing like children.

“Oh there!” Yuya pointed to the left, smiling widely, “That one looks like a bunny mixed with a lion!”

“How so?” Keito asked with a laugh, poking the prince in the side, “Like, is it a bunny head with a lion body, or vice versa?”

“Neither!” Yuya turned to look at Keito, giggling childishly, “It has bunny ears, but you can barely seen them under the lion’s mane. It has cute little eyes and a great big nose, and a giant mouth but with only tiny teeth. The bunny-lion is medium sized, with a bunny’s legs but a lion’s tail.”

Keito laughed harder, rolling onto his side and holding his stomach, “Are you drunk?” he asked mid laugh, almost choking on his words.

Yuya frowned, punching Keito in the arm, “Don’t make fun of my bunny-lion you fiend!”

“I’m sorry,” Keito took a few deep breaths, calming himself down, “I wasn’t laughing at you, exactly,” Keito grabbed Yuya’s hand, lacing their fingers together, “You’re just adorable, really.”

Takaki’s frown quickly turned into a smile, and for a second Keito forgot to breathe, starring at the handsome man in front of him, who’s skin was illuminated by the moon’s light, giving him an angelic glow. In a love-spelled daze, Keito leaned forward and gently kissed the prince, eyes falling shut when the kiss was passionately returned, Yuya’s free hand threading itself through his hair.

“Ahem,” the couple broke apart quickly, fumbling about with apologies til they realized it was just Yuto and Ryosuke, the lowly servants.

“You too are so cute!” Yuto squealed, grabbing Ryosuke’s arm and swinging it back and forth, “Aren’t they cute Ryo-chan, aren’t they? Tell me how cute they are!”

“Very cute,” Ryosuke quickly replied, wrenching his arm out of Yuto’s grasp, “As I was saying, Prince Yuya, almost all the quests have arrived, so it’s time for you to join your brothers at the head table.”

“Of course,” Yuya stood up, smoothing out his clothes, “Keito, I talked to my brothers and because of your heroic rescue, of me, you’ll be joining us at our table.”

Keito’s eyes widened, his mouth dropping open in surprise.

“Is that alright?” Yuya asked, placing his finger under Keito’s chin and closing it for him, kissing Keito with a quick peck, “Because it really doesn’t matter if it isn’t. I am a prince you know.”

Keito snapped out of his daze, smiling at Yuya as he said, “It’s an honor.”

Laughing, Yuya grabbed Keito’s hand and linked their fingers together, ignoring Yuto’s cries of “Oh, how cute!” as they walked out of the gardens and into the halls, sneaking glances at each other til they reached the massive double doors.

“Do you think it’s obvious we were just kissing?” Keito asked with a smile, his hand dropping back to his side as Yuya giggled, shaking his head, “Alright,” Keito took a deep breath and opened the door, letting the prince enter before him.

The ballroom fell silent as the two entered, Yuya walking confidently to the head table while Keito kept his eyes to the ground, feeling uncomfortable with everyone starring at him. As a knight, Keito has been to plenty of fancy dinners and extravagant balls, but this is first time going to one after kissing his boyfriend, his boyfriend who just happens to be a prince.

“Ooooh drama,” Yabu and Inoo snickered, flailing their hands in the air and accidentally smacking Hikaru in the face, who growled and tackled Inoo, giving the other a noogie.

“Those two,” Ryutaro muttered, nibbling on his giant lollipop, “So immature, I swear.”

“I know,” Chinen rolled his eyes, biting off the ears on his chocolate bunny.

You’re all immature, except for me of course. Anyways-

“Well, we’re not all British gentlemen like you,” Takaki winked, blowing Keito a kiss.

“Awe Keito’s blushing!” Yuto squealed, causing everyone to laugh, which in turn just made Keito more flustered.

…When they reached the head table, Keito pulled out Yuya’s chair and helped him to his seat, before taking the empty seat next to him.

“Chin up Keito,” Yuya whispered, turning towards Keito with a gentle smile, his hand sneaking under the table and grabbing Keito’s, giving it a squeeze, “No need to be so nervous.” Keito nodded, his thumb brushing over Yuya’s knuckles.

“Welcome, everyone!” Hikaru stood up, “It’s an honor to have you all here, and I know if my father was conscious, he’d be happy too.”

Throughout the room, sad glances were exchanged, “It is sad, but there are things to be thankful for,” looking over at Yuya, Hikaru continued, “It’s a relief to have our little brother home, safe and sound. And we owe our gratitude to Sir Keito, who bravely rescued Yuya.”

Kicking Keito under the table, Yuya bit back his laughter as the knight quickly stood up and bowed, smiling shyly as the room broke out in applause.

“Yes,” Hikaru twisted his fingers together nervously, clearing his throat, “And uh, due to all these events, some important decisions have been made. I have been crowned King of Tokyo, which is a part of the reason why we are holding the ball tonight.”

“Part of the reason?” Yuya spoke to himself, confused as he nudged his brother Daiki, “What’s going on?”

Daiki turned towards Yuya, giving him an apologetic stare as he simply said, “Prepare yourself,” Yuya opened his mouth to question his brother further, but was stopped when Hikaru began speaking again.

“Even though they’re both very young,” Hikaru forced himself to smile more, “King Ryo and I have come to an agreeance, in that our Prince Yuya will marry Princess Hasshi, this spring, in order to strengthen the relationship between our two kingdoms.”
Everyone stood up, surprised by the sudden announcement but happy nonetheless, as they cheered and talked amongst themselves, the excited murmurs reaching back to the head table. Keito looked over at Yuya, worried and laid a comforting hand on the princes’ shoulder, “It’ll be okay Yuya.”

“You’re wrong,” Yuya shook Keito’s hand off his shoulder, holding back his tears as he glared angrily at his brother, feelings of hopelessness overtaking his emotions.

“Alright, time for bed!” Keito announced, ignoring everyone’s angry shouts and Hikaru’s, “What the fuck man?”

“C’mon, I’m tired, please?” Keito pouted, sniffling cutely til Takaki got his attention and began making rather crude gestures with his hands and mouth.

“No fair,” Keito crossed his arms over his chest, glaring at Takaki, who just smirked and made more obscene gestures, Hikaru adding to them by thrusting his hips into the air.

“Fine,” Keito huffed, resituating himself on the bed.

After hearing the shocking news, Yuya began to ignore everyone around him, often locking himself in his room and going as far as skipping meals, to avoid everyone. Prince Hikaru felt horribly guilty for pushing this onto his brother, but as king, he had no choice.

“Yuuyan,” Hikaru knocked softly on his brother’s door, “Please come out and eat, you’ve already missed breakfast and lunch. Please.”

Inside the room, Yuya laid curled up on his bed, his hair a tangled mess and his pajamas wrinkled, crying sadly into his pillow, trying to muffle his heartbreak. Though the sound was faint, Hikaru could still hear it and with an even guiltier heart, he walked away and didn’t disturb his brother for the rest of the night.

“I feel so horrible,” Hikaru said to Daiki as he entered his brother’s room, nodding to Yuri who gave him a sympathetic glance, “Yuya is so horribly depressed, he won’t even let Sir Keito visit with him, and they were really good friends from what I could tell.”

Yuri hummed in the back of his throat, putting away the game of chess he and Daiki had been playing, “You know, that knight seems to be taking this pretty hard too. I over heard those two servants talking, Yuto and Ryosuke, and they say Keito is miserable without Yuya.”

Daiki frowned, laying back in his bed and stretching out, “Friendships, they’re too complicated.”

Hikaru joined his brothers on the bed, flopping down next to Daiki, “I wish it didn’t have to be Yuya, he’s so young. If only there were more princesses around, I’d just get rid of one of you.”

Yuri chuckled, running a hand through his hair, “Well, sadly Princess Hasshi is the only princess in our generation.”

“And no offense to her,” Daiki looked over at Hikaru, smirking, “But I’m not interested in marrying a sixteen year old girl.”

Hikaru nodded, watching his little brothers with a smile as Yuri fell on top of Daiki, the two laughing heartily together. He wished things could stay like this forever, no kings and princesses and everything else that’s tearing his family apart.

More then anything else though, Hikaru wished their father would awake from his coma.

Meanwhile, in the servants chambers, Yuto and Ryosuke sat on their small beds, watching Keito pace back and forth, muttering to himself and running twitchy hands through his now poofy hair.

“Keito, c’mon,” Ryosuke called out, “Princess Hasshi will be here this weekend in order to start planning for the wedding, and from there, the wedding will only be a few months away.”

“For once I agree,” Yuto sighed, his chin resting in his hand, “I mean, if the king himself can’t get the prince out of this, then who can?”

“Someone can,” Keito responded quickly, scratching the back of his head, “It’d be a heavy price, but if I can help Yuya, it’d be worth it.”

“Who?” Ryosuke asked, exchanging curious glances with Yuto, “No offense to the royal family, but Princess Hasshi is rather crazy, and she’s been planning their marriage since she was twelve years old.”

Keito stopped, starring down at the ground as a smile slowly began to stretch across his face, “No, it’ll work. They’ll help and then Yuya will be okay.”

“And you two can live happily ever after?” Yuto asked hopefully, but Keito just looked at him and shrugged, not entirely certain how this would all play out.

“Why do I have a feeling you’re gonna go all Romeo and Juliet on us?” Daiki asked, signaling to Yamada to hand him another box of pockey, “Or maybe Hamlet? I just have a feeling this is gonna be tragic.” he finished, ripping open his new box and shoving three pieces into his mouth.

The days passed by quickly, much to Yuya’s dismay, and the day of Hasshi’s arrival was suddenly upon them.
