alas, no pooch to accompany (damn quarantine) she will be going to oregon with me in november, them stay there until the gleeful day of graduation and i can tote her to wherever we will be going. for now she is my lovely little jogging buddy.

yes, i did get the grant i applied for last year. very nice. covering most of expenses, perhaps not including some extras to make the time a bit more kick ass.

how are things with teaching, learning, traveling, experiencing, seeing, doing, being, and all of that? when are you off to cali? we must chat before we're both done and departed from this place, yes?

good stuff, funded travels are always nicer than ones digging into the culminating debth. teaching keeping me busy enough, it's much more fun after having done the class a few times. can keep the flow going nice and 'easy'...soon will dig into prelim writing, my committee has the questions right now for review. then a little oct break in cali, then back: proposal and grants. then back in december. that's the plan. i'm still detoxing, pretty hard core. we can have "coffee" though i can't, because i'm detoxing - so i just drink tea! how exiting is my life, can't beat this!

detox is very admirable. i have not been delving into that quite yet, though accepting a certain drive for meaning and (heavens no) spirituality beyond the day to day. went to the universalists this last sunday and the woman that spoke was quite a good orator and did that whole "spoke to me" bit. more power to a life back to the core without the distractions of myriad vices. life is hectic as usual (two emergencies tonight including "horse with a swollen head") oh the stories I could.. and will... tell. heres to non-toxic beverages and pasttimes.
