We had a situation a couple of years back where we were pretty sure our cleaner stole postage stamps out of our drawers at work. We were reasonably certain it was theft because a) it was two boxes, in two separate drawers, in two separate offices, and b) the exact same thing happened on the same night to a company across the road who used the same cleaner.
Obviously, we couldn't prove anything, but when we called the cleaning company to raise the issue, we got all manner of abuse down the phone.
I think the BIG question here is "what does one person need so many postage stamps for?" Was it around Christmas time? Is there a new black market for postage stamps? Were they stealing them to give to their bosses to butter them up? Were they perhaps under directives to steal postage stamps?
Curious!
Unfortunately our cleaner is not from a cleaning company, she is just a woman, hence the cheapness. (Like, $12/hour) I don't imagine we'd get abuse from her, we'd get indignity, and then she'd quit because she doesn't like us anyway. And THEN we'd have to clean. So nobody is going to say anything.
