I am currently finding the old adage "everything in moderation" to be particularly appropriate.

If you get excited by airports (as I do) try not to spend too much time in them lest your excitement become diluted.

woah, passport dramas indeed. glad to hear you didn't lose your onion soup for good, that would have been a tragedy beyond comprehension!

just wondering, you mentioned tht you were going to put some stuff in storage while you were in thailand... where are you doing that? i think i might want to do that in KL but the airport luggage storage thing is well expensive, any idea where i might find out about other options?

I'm going to a self strorage facility. They charge somewhere in the vicinity of 100 baht per week to store a bag, but I suspect that that'll just be on a shelf somewhere, so I'm gonna see what the deal is with their boxy locky things. It's a good idea if you're here for a while... the place I'm going to has a 1 month minimum. Even if you're not, the 1 month fee is probably gonna be waaaay cheaper than airport storage anyway.

Only problem is now I have to find the place. I see a long bus trip filled with car exhaust fumes in my near future...

Pity you could'nt have passed to KL! Thats where I am (for another week anyway!) then off to singapore for 2. Being paid to travel. Nothing beats it! =)
