I'm back!

So I'm back in sunny Cali. Well, not that Louisiana wasn't sunny. It actually was nice most of the time. For a while we had this weird haze though that they said was coming from some fires on the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. Weird

I stare at the framed Cafe Du Monde poster in my dining room everyday wishing I could have an order of beignets and a nice steaming cup of Cafe Aulait. I have the mix, and the coffee in the cupboard... but it's never the same.

You're right, it is definitely a different experience to do it there. I mean, even the ones you buy at other Cafe du Mondes aren't the same as the original there on Decacatur.

That haze was absolutely bizarre.

I'll have to go try that beer sampler...

And hand grenades?? One word - OUCH.

I was reading some reviews that said the beers weren't all that good. I know I'm not an experienced beer drinker, but I liked them! :-) And one hand grenade was definitely enough for me!
