2010 Books Read
My book goal for 2010 was 100. I made it to 104, including Audiobooks, which I decided to count because they're a huge time investment and I ended up getting really into them. Grand totals are 39 Audiobooks, 65 read books. I listen to them at work to drown out the noise and when I'm driving back and forth to work. I did not include the texts that I ( Read more... ) -

New Year, New Friend's List
I just did a major friend's cut. Some people I cut because they don't use LJ anymore but I'm friends with in other places. Others, I couldn't even remember who they were, that's how long it was since they posted. I also cut some people because I found that I'm skipping their posts. More Applebee's
Last week I got a phone call from the GM of the franchises in Southern Mississippi. Today, I got a phone call from the GM of the actual Applebee's restaurant in Gulfport. He was incredibly apologetic and told me that he honestly wouldn't have known the laws himself but now that the correct way to handle a nursing mother has brought to his ( Read more... ) -

I got a phone call from Applebee's. From the GM of the franchise group from southern Mississippi. He asked me to relay to him what happened. Apologized profusely. Told me that nursing mothers are ALWAYS welcome in all Applebee's restaurants. Told me that all of his staff will be educated on the topic. Then said he hoped I hadn't lost any ( Read more... ) -
