What's my problem?

Apr 20, 2007 10:03

I don't know why I haven't posted more, especially since I am constantly composing posts in my head. I think a lot has actually happened since the last time I posted, but I don't exactly know where to start with everything, so I'll try to remember to post that later ( Read more... )

Hey, I don't know... maybe you do? :-) Just kidding.

Thanks for the response!

I have used Bare Escentuals the past and sometimes still do. I don't think it is quite all that it claims to be. I haven't found it to do as fabulous a job cover up wise. When I've been breaking out, you can still tell that I am breaking out and regular make-up looks better at those times. But it does feel good on my skin and it looks better than regualar make up when I'm not breaking out. So, there you go.
If it would help, I hope you are able to share. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I vent and let loose maybe 25% of the time on here. In any case, I'm thinking about you.

I guess I'm afraid of how the coverage is. I have a lot of redness in my skin and that's part of what I want to get rid of.

I think I'm going to try to go get done up before I buy anything.

Thanks for your thoughts, as well. :-)

I've been wanting to try Bare Escentuals myself. I don't wear make up because I break out very easy but would love to have something to even out my skin. One of my friends has used it and she absolutely loved it but..I'm still leary.

Yeah, I'm definitely not an every day makeup type person. If I try it I will definitely post a review!

I like Every Day Mineral or Pur Minerals better than BE - there's something in the BE that causes some people to have skin issues, which I did develop, and EDM and Pur I've had no problems with. It depends on your skin, though. BE does have decent coverage - I have a lot of redness in my face and it covers well. You just have to start with a very light application and work your way up into more coverage. One thing - the BE brushes suck for the price you pay for them. EDM has cheap brushes that work extremely well - like $12 and under - and it makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to at least try to go to Sephora to try out the BE, and maybe order some samples of EDM. (I had never heard of them before today - the prices alone makes me want to drop the BE ideas.)

If you have an Ulta near you, they have both BE and Pur Minerals there to play with - and sometimes really good deals on them, especially kits. With EDM, too, you can get a bunch of samples and just pay shipping, which I think was about $4 for me. Good luck!

I'm the same way with catching up online these days. When things get busy in the real world, it's difficult to find time for the Internet, let alone my own journal. I think of all of these things I'd like to write about, but then also I'm too busy to take the time to do so or I'm tired and just want to rest at home.

It's okay though, we all catch up whenever possible, and even if it's just for quick posts, it's great to just be able to know that friends are out there ... and are doing well. :)

*HUGS* :)

p.s. I don't use Bare Escentuals, but mineral make-up does seem to be the "IT" thing these days. I'm definitely interested in trying it too.
