Jury Duty

I was able to escape two jury panels and avoid serving for another 12 months! I was really worried/upset/anxious when I got called in for my second jury panel right before they would have released us yesterday. What that meant was that I had to go back in again today and sit through another day of possibly being on a jury well into next week and

Isn't getting out of jury duty fun. I almost had to serve, but luckily they pulled the first part of the alphabet out of the hat, so I go to go home. And here in WI you only have to serve every 4 years, so I'll never have to do it in WI. Hahaha suckers.

I found that if you're honest and can think critically, then neither side really wants you. The good part about not having to do it again for another year is that I won't get called during any point that'll interfere with taking the bar. How much longer do you have in WI anyway?

Approx 1 year and 9 months. We'll be leaving in the summer of 2010, but Brandon should know his residency options by Dec 09/Jan 10. The we'll be out of this place...thank FSM. His Navy options are still San Diego and Virginia, but he's also going to apply to some regular schools like UCD, UCLA, and UCSD.
