So I ate at M Cafe in Culver City tonight without realizing before going in that it's a macrobiotic vegan restaurant (apparently the M stands for macrobiotic...), so I ended up staying to eat since leaving would have been weird. I was able to escape two jury panels and avoid serving for another 12 months! I was really worried/upset/anxious when I got called in for my second jury panel right before they would have released us yesterday. Yesterday was my last first day of school ever and it went splendidly.
