Yay, puppy! It will be lots of fun to have a puppy. And it is A-OK to have puppy sleep in your bed--she will not become confused about her place in the pack unless you fail to impose order in other ways. Paddington slept in my bed when he was a baby, and the rest of the crew still do. (In Paddington's wild teen period, I moved him to a crate in my room because otherwise he'd go on a spree of destruction during the night, and that's what we're still doing. I want to transition him back out of the crate, but he has trouble settling down and going to sleep when he's loose.) When you take your puppy camping, you'll want her to snuggle up in the sleeping bag with you, won't you? That way is the coziest. So, puppy in bed = good ( ... )

I'm glad you say it's okay for puppy to sleep in my bed with me :) I certainly do plan that she'll sleep with me in the tent.

*wonders whether there'll be room for her in the actual sleeping bag*

Paddington's wild teen period Lol! I wonder whether Piglet's going to be a wild little monster?

This cabling thing is rather terrifying! I may have to tape up her little muzzle!

Yay puppy! Re your concerns in (6) I'm sorry if the House-training joke has already been made, but you were sort of asking for it XD

Oops, sorry about that! It occurred to me after I'd sent it that I'd already threatened to bash you with a DVD box set! I'm not normally this pugilistic *g*
