Can you please use a larger font size? The small font makes the text hard to read.

I tried replicating the current 'Doctor Who' logo for one of my comic logos and basically just gave up. Although it is probably just Photoshop 101 stuff, but I'd like to know how to contour text in PS and then add lighting effects, etc.

If I haven't already missed it, a word balloon tutorial.

I found a couple on the web, but I occasionally get this feathered bleed effect that goes beyond the edge of the fill area for no reason I can discern. I don't touch the settings on the fillbucket tool, but it happens.

I don't know.

What would you rec as a good PhotoShop how-to book our there?

(I've got PS 7.0 and can only crop, resize, and add basic texts.)

Laurie McCanna's How To Do Everything With Photoshop 7 is a really great book. It explains a lot of technical information that you'll need to know to be able to get to the artsy part of working in Photoshop. That book would be my first choice, I still use it for lots of reference.
