On August 31, my beautiful baby twin boys, Tristan and Asher, were born.

They were born really early, at 28 weeks.

They are so little and they are strong, but they still have a long road ahead of them in the NICU.

Having to leave them everyday at the NICU is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life.

Wow, they were born one month and ten days after our birthday (which I can't help but remember we share!) This must have been an awesome present for you (as, crazily enough, I was for my mom, whose birthday is the 29th.)

Awwwww! Congratulations, and welcome to motherhood! I'm an old hand at this now (my baby was born on April 24th) and the most important thing I have learned is that other moms are the best resource you could possibly have. Complete strangers can offer encouragement in the most unexpected places.
